AC in the AM by my lonesome. Boring and foot hurting. Nice out for the most part.

Easy bank run (5) today. I haven't done that in a while and I'd forgotten how much I like it. On the mph sign, I got it from 11 to 14 in about 15 meters! Sweet. Foot was being hurty again, no fun. But otherwise, it was a good stress-release. Who needs sleep, anyway? (DS3 29.3)

Ruth, this is a great new picture, mid-flight! Congrats on the school record! I see you decided to go to USU - I assume that is Utah State? What made you decide on USU (compared with Calvin and MIT) - did you get into Honors college, merit scholarships, free ride maybe? I'm sure you'll do awesome! Is USU div.3 or 1?

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I've decided on Utah State. Um, it sounds kind of cheesy, but it's what felt like the right decision and it'll be a lot easier financially. I have a National Merit Scholarship there that's full tuition, fees and $500/yr for 4 years, $500/yr for housing, $500/yr more for majoring in Engineering and most likely will get more stipend from the coach for XC and track since it's a Div I program. I'll be in Honors College there, too - maybe even stay in Honors housing?! Mostly, I'm really excited to have almost all costs taken care of, so I can maybe study abroad a semester or during the summers and be a "rich college student!" Pretty crazy!

Utah State! Wow! Nice scholarship! Sounds like your future is looking bright!

That is sweet your going to Utah State. That means i will be able to see you sometime i guess. That is if you go to some of the nothern meets like state next year. huh! Good scholarship. I hope you have fun running alot though. Ha Ha. It will be okay it will help you train for that marathon career ahead of you. Good job on the running also.

I forgot or didn't know you were a National Merit Scholar. That is sooo cool. Maria, if you don't know it is an elite academic honor. We have a renaissance woman in our midst!
