Arrrrgh! I am so angry about today! The Honolulu Airport SUCKS! I flew in at 5:30 am and didn't leave until 3 pm. In the 10 hours I spent there, I should've been able to get a run in, but there weren't any lockers and if I left my carry-on bags anyway they would've been "confiscated and destroyed." Angry face. After 24 hours in transit, I finally got home at 3:15 am on Saturday. So, it looks like I get a big fat ugly goose egg for today.  >:(

Hey Ruth. Looks like you've had a blast this summer. I agree that time has flown by! Don't get so uptight about missing out on the run. We all know you tried your best and it's not your fault Honolulu airport is stupid! ;) Hopefully you could rest up a bit and get ready for the next run. You won't lose any fitness and with all the 8+ days you've done, you're definitely prepared for the 6k or 8k or whatever your school races you in.

Also, did you catch Shalane Flannigans awesome run in the 10,000m? It was on late night here on the east coast around 1:30 am. She was in 5th place until 3 laps to go and then just steadily motored up to third and really showed them what grit and determination can do. Just keep the faith, keep on truckin' and great things are right around the corner for you!!
