Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.
Personal:
Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.
Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.
Well, after a 10 hour day at church and finding nobody home, I decided to chill out and run downstairs on the tm. It helped! I feel better about things.....now to find my family...
Winter has arrived in eastern Idaho....anyway that's my excuse for running on the tm this evening. I ran 10x800 with a 400m recovery. I hit these 800's anywhere from 3:12 to 3:23. Haven't mixed any real good speed work in a while and felt like this would be a good test. I was pleased for the most part.
Had some bad news yesterday. My wifes sister passed away in Pocatello. Great gal that has been wheelchair bound for 50 years. She came down with spinal meningitis at 3 years old and never recovered. She has blessed the lives of so many. Grateful to have known her these past 30 years. Had family and friends drop by this evening and this run was divided into 3 seperate runs. Friends gave me hugs in my sweaty running clothes. They are just great! I will have the opportunity to conduct the funeral this Saturday.
