I woke up early this morning and just enjoyed a 6.6-mile run along the Detroit River bike path.  It was neat to see all the people out fishing this Saturday morning along the pier.  Now it's time to pack up and head back to Salt Lake City!!!

My non-running workout consisted of 300 sit-ups.

I like it when I don't read any comment about your knee... :) I hope that's a good sign!

What's SLC? Smooth like chocolate?

From Rossy on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 22:28:56 from 167.138.234.18

Thanks and it was a safe trip back to SLC (Smooth Like Chocolate works Burt) and I actually sat across the aisle and one row back from Stevie Wonder on the flight in. Anyway, I finally updated my blog after getting slammed at work. However, I was and I am still running. By the way, when is this SLC rain going to let up a little bit? However running through puddles is tons of fun! Happy Running Bloggers!

welcome back to the soggy world of slc!

that's cool that you were on the same plane as stevie wonder. i just found out that bobby brady custom-made the countertops in my kitchen. i'm serious. that's what he does now. http://www.concreteconstruction.net/concrete-construction/paul-lundy-and-mike-lookinland.aspx

superstition aint the way, yeh, yeh...

Allie, after reading your post I had to ask myself several times if you were serious. You are, Bobby Brady has grown up to be a countertop maker (and a great one)! Okay, I have to ask, is your customized countertop one of these fancy artistic ones? I had never seen this type of countertop before, so thanks for sharing! Also, this has totally given me a great idea for my dream home (you know, the one that is located along a marathon course). I'm serious, my counters are going to have the Emigration Canyon part of the Wasatch Mountain Range on the wall and, you know it, a really neat topographical map of the Des-News Marathon course on the countertops. This would be so tight! I need to run this by Bobby Brady. Happy Running!

ha! yes, i was being serious. bobby brady is quite talented.

i totally love the topographical map on the countertops idea. and i agree that one aspect of a "dream home" would be that it is located on a marathon course. in one week i will be moving -- right across the street from liberty park. believe me when i say that my decision to move here was at least partially influenced by the thought of walking straight into my house after finishing des news. :)

Really? One week? Don't forget about my snake oil.

From Rossy on Mon, May 23, 2011 at 16:53:59 from 167.138.234.18

Across the street from Liberty! The perfect location, especially after running 26-plus miles with insane declines on a very hot summer day. Congratulations on the new digs and just brilliant!
