Afternoon workout and evening run in the rain after work. It felt good to run a little fast and get out of the slower paces.

Morning workout at the gym. I was going to do an easy 4 or 5 miles but the hamstring has been acting up so I opted for a rest day.

The plan going out today was to run 13.1 at marathon pace then back it off and do another 4 or 5. I made the first part but struggled with the hamstring the last 4 miles. I need this taper time to get this hamstring back to 100%.

The 7:56 is right on target. That'd give me a 3:28 and a BQ by 2 minutes. I wanted this to be a confidence builder but I'm a little worried about the hamstring and also about my conditioning. I would feel a lot better if my HR would have been down to about the 140 range. From the look of the extended forecast todays temps were right where they'll be in Champaign marathon day.
