Pretty darn fantastic run this morning. I'm at the Harbor Marriott on Ft. Lauderdale beach, it doesn't start getting light here until after 6:00 am but that's OK cause that's only 4:00 Utah time so my schedule wont get too messed up. Started out running the sidewalk from my hotel along the beach, I felt really good, nothing hurt and I was running comfortable at about a 7:00 pace flying past other people. The humidity was bothering me a little bit but a nice breeze kept it bearable. At 3 miles out my knee started hurting a little bit so I turned around and ran back to the hotel, stripped off my socks, shoes, and shirt and ran hippie style on the beach. Another 2 miles out and back for a total of 10, running on the sand right along where the waves hit the sand is the best place to run, every once in a while a wave will come cool off your feet and that is where the surface is the hardest but it still gives your calves quite a workout. I can't decide if when I'm rich and retired if I'd rather be a beach bum or a mountain bum. Both would be very nice, if I'm rich enough I'll just do both Florida in the winter, Montana in the Summer. Oh, sure, Jeff L had to one up me by running in Hawaii, Jealous!!
