Up a bit late this morning, and I had to get out and get home and up to my folks to make brunch for the lot of them.
Felt good for most of the 13 k. Took it very slow, keeping myself under my 143 bpm threshold for a good portion of the run. It was getting warm by the time I was finishing up, not sure how that will work on the long run Sundays this summer. I'll have to get up at 5 am to get out and finish before the melting point.
For the second time in my running life, I had to stop for a break in the weeds. I'm glad I did, because I couldn't have made it home feeling so uncomfortable. Why is it that you can't clear your bowels on demand before leaving home on a long run?? One of the mysteries of running.
