Personal:
I herniated/ruptured a disk (L4/L5) in my back in December, 2005. I told my orthopedic surgeon I wanted to start running. He said "You'll never run again.". What a challenge! So...I started running.
Since then I've lost about 50 pounds, ran 13 marathons and a number of other races.
I am still a clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs), have a large frame, big bones, and not built like a runner at all. I'm not fast. I mostly run to have some time to myself and keep in shape.
9.2 miles at noon. North Logan, up Green Canyon and back. Nice easy pace.

Rob,
Hi. Nice miles. Hope that guy (Brett I think) is still running. I love that story you tell under "Personal" in the left margin. Do you have any races planned for this year? Talk to you soon. Hope all okay with you and your family.
Be Well.

Thanks. Slowly building up. The few days after this run I didn't feel so hot so I took a few days off. Brent (who just started running) is improving. Anyway, have a good week.
