-Survived Speedgoat 50K 2013 (Time 9:59:51)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Attempting to complete half ironman triathlon.  I've done a decent amount of running but not much else for a while.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and happy.

Run everyday forever.

married with kids trying to inspire the family to be healthy and active daily.

ran the local loop. I decided I need to keep doing this until I don't feel like it is kicking my but. plus it is easy to do this and get some offroad vert since I don't have to drive anywhere.

couldn't get up to run this AM. I wanted to run everyday this week though so I went after work it was probably 105 degrees and 20-30% humidity. This added a level of difficulty. I was still able to do the last couple miles (flat) at 8:18, 8:20.

I was pretty happy with my pace today I ran up wade road I felt tired but still was able to go pretty quick. here are my splits: 8:17, 8:30, 7:42, 8:17. AP was 8:11.

wanted to go at faster than 8 min/mile pace for a flat run today. I did 3 miles AP 7:59. splits 7:56, 8:03 and 7:57.

super humid this AM but cool I ran up wasson peak again. I felt like i wasn't able to go very fast and wasn't super happy with how fast I was going most of the time. I also felt pretty winded when i had to go up hills more so than usual. when I got done though I saw that I was on pace with my usual times up the mountain. I did see a rattlesnake coiled on the side of the trail. I will try to post a pic of him later.
