Well, I think the new shoes and the foam roller made a HUGE difference! Talk about pain! Apparently I've been focusing on the wrong part of the IT band with my stretching, cuz holy crow, did it hurt farther down than I was expecting. I did manage to actually do a little running and my knee feels great though! Did .25 mile warm-up, ran 2.25 miles at 6.0 mph, then did a .6 mile cool down. Total time was 32:49-only a few seconds different than yesterday. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come... |
