Nice, slow recovery run- 12 miles at an 8:40ish pace.  Legs feel strong.

Ran outside with Ed today through Goshen.  Mid-80's and a bit humid.  There were a couple downhill patches in the shade which gave tremendous relief.  We started out at about a 7:40ish pace, work our way down to a few sub-7's (mostly downhill) and then finished off on a tough uphill at around a 7:45-8ish pace.  Overall, probably averaged 7:15-40 for most of the run.  Very rolling course and Ed definitely pushed me today.

Ran 10-miles with Ed through a hilly course.  Overall, held about a 7:05-10 pace w/3 sub 7's near the end.  Good finish to the month!

Strange day...raining out, so went to the gym to do TM.  Just way too tired, so packed it in after 2 miles.  Lacking sleep for the past week, so hope to get some rest this weekend.  Several deaths in our church this week (all in their 90's) which has made for a busy couple of days.

Ran 12-mile loop near Morris.  Kept 7:30 pace for the first 10 and then did "cooldown" pace for final 2-miles.

Storm was brewing outside, so went to the gym and did both weights + TM.  Amazing how much a couple nights of full sleep can help.

Did 2 mile warm-up and then began a 1-mile repeat workout.  Ran 5 x 1mile @ 6min pace with .25 miles between efforts.  Probably could have kept going, but was beginning to spray my neighbors + needed to take a pit stop.  Took bathroom break and finished with a few extra slow miles.  Did 9.25 miles total.

Decided to run with my light trainers today.  I have used them for my last two marathons and both times my feet began to really hurt around mile 18.  The feet held up fine for all 20 today...it's made a difference working them in more often to my weekly workouts.  Didn't get out until 11am, yet was fortunate to have the sun behind the cloud for the first 2/3 of the run.  Started out at a fairly brisk speed and was able to hold a 7-minute pace all the way through mile 10...miles 11 and 12 were tough uphill, including a 1/4 mile hill with a 9% grade...did those two miles in 16 minutes to close out the first 12-mile loop in 1:26:02 (7:10 pace)- a personal best for me on that particular loop...stopped by the house to change socks (squishing pretty good) and grab a drink of water...the went straight into an 8-mile loop.  The sun began to come out and my legs were feeling it a bit, but I pushed my way through with a decent time- 59:19 (7:25 pace).  Thus, overall I ran 20 miles on a fairly hilly course in 2:25:21 (7:16 pace)...I'll take it!
