Another fun little clop on the TM. It is getting crowded in the rec center. So, this morning I took the time to do a lap of heel/toe walking and then another for butt kicks/high knees around the track. Gave me just enough time to then grab a vacated TM for my first 3 miles. Started at 7.2 mph and .5% incline, I'm gonna start running at 1% incline steadily if it kills me! Just working up to it :) Last mile was MP @ 7:53 with progressive to 7:30 the last quarter. TT: 24:40; AP: 8:13 Set of arms, not as hard as last week. I am trying to give myself a little break this week, but it's hard to act like a slacker while eating all this Halloween candy and crap sitting around! 3 TM to finish up. Lucky to have Kelli there again! Tried to start at 7.2, but I couldn't talk like I wanted to, so I bumped down to 7.0 (8:34), went up as it felt comfortable, then the last mile did my 7:53, but 1/2 mile in I went to 7:47 then the last quarter progressive. I thought for sure I'd have beaten my first 3 mile time. Felt harder, but nope. TT: 24:55; AP: 8:18 I feel like doing the form drills before jumping on the TM really helped me keep my knees driving forward better and landing more mid-foot. Because this takes a lot less energy than my natural shuffle, I think the 2nd round seemed harder because I was more at my normal shuffle than a 'better' form (I'd call it good form, but it probably still isn't!). But, who knows. Maybe I was just tired and talking instead of just running. That could've been it too :)
