I finally got back on my treadmill after a two week break. This was a strategic break of sorts, had some aches and pains that were getting a little too serious and felt the need to take some time off. But it was also nice to take a break for the Christmas holiday, that worked out well. Did four miles tonight, 1/2 mile warmup, 3 mile run AP 8:50, then 1/2 mile cool down. It felt so good to run again after time off, the treadmill did not feel half as boring as usual. I'm afraid I feel a lot fatter after my no running for two weeks and about a million Christmas cookies later. Can I just say that I have absolutely no self control sometimes. I'm just a full on sugar addict. And people just keep dropping the stuff off at our door, so in my defense it was not really all my fault. I'm hoping the new year will bring new motivation for me to watch what I'm eating a little bit better. |
