Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Looking strong all the time...

When do you move?

From paul on Tue, Aug 25, 2009 at 13:37:40 from 76.27.122.123

We'll either move during Labor Day weekend, or immediately after. Depends if we can get the buyer to move up our closing date, and that of course depends on their lender.

Closing can always be a hang up... well most of the time it is. But when we bought this new house it was a week and a half from the day we made the offer to the bank and the day we closed. Crazy fast! Hopefully it will all go smooth for you guys. How's the new place? We are excited for ya.

Exciting news about the house hope the closing goes good.

Yeah, if we didn't have to sell our old place, I'm sure we could have closed in a couple weeks. The new place we are moving into is a foreclosure, so there is no one living there, which makes things easier on that end. But the people buying our home our first-time home-buyers with no money, so I think their loan takes a lot longer to underwrite than ours, since we have a "rich" credit history and 6 years of equity. But with less than two weeks to go, everything still looks very good on both ends.

Our new house will be nothing special. It's just a big box to put our stuff in, and to lay our heads, but it is in the town we want to be in, and has a good location. It will be a good place to raise a family over the next 18-20 years, and over time we will update it to "make it our own". Right now it's pretty bland. We like old houses and this one is pretty new. Looks like every other newer home.
