Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

I was pinched for time today, so had to hurry through my run. Averaged 5:53/mile on the Logan Loop (8 miles). I finally broke down and brought my Nike Elite shoes out of retirement. They have 500+ miles on them, but I love those things. Today was like running with an old friend.

In other news, we got an offer on our house yesterday, and it looks pretty good. It's been on the market for 30 days, which was more than enough for me. What a pain. Now for the fun part of tour other peoples' homes, rifling through all their stuff, and judging them (which is what I assume people did with our home). :-) Hopefully we can get moved by September. Then I can start training again, if I feel like it.

Congrats on the offer...30 days is not a bad period of time, many are taking much longer to sell.

Thanks. Yeah, average days on market in Cache Valley is about 90 days...but 30 felt like an eternity. It helps that our home is dirt cheap.

Congrats! See, it would've happened while you were supposed to be away to India. Or close to it anyway. My neighbor's house is for-sale. You would have to live between Jon and I though....

a nice house like that in a great location moves fast, congrats! hey- I am thinking of going to SLC to run the DN 10K on a whim, but I see you crossed it out, so I guess you are not running it?

Red - perhaps you have me confused with someone else. Most people thought that our house was too old, on too small of a lot, and on a street that is too busy. Although I don't know what they were expecting for under $130K.

No, I'm not doing Des News 10K. I think both Jon and Cody are running it though. It's a great race, a really fun race, but I decided I needed a break from training, and also wanted to focus on selling our house without the additional stress of heavy training. I still plan on running the TOU Half, but nothing between now and then.

Paul, wait you mean you're not the guy who lives in that mansion on the south side of Canyon road, the house with the ten fireplaces??

ha ha I saw the for sale sign on your house two days ago when I went to watch my son play tennis at the rec center. I like shaded established neighborhoods like that in a central location. Houses in that price range move fast in this tough market. And you are in a great position now to get a great bargain in Smithfield on a really nice place.

OK- I have my AUTHENTIC FRB singlet- which is why I am thinking of running- now convince Jon and Cody they have to backtrack and bring me in strong. Tell them if they don't you will disown them. thanks for the help, Scott

Congrats on the offer. 30 days is definitely enough time to be annoyed with all the cleaning, etc.

Mostly I'm annoyed with having the water/mow the lawn and generally pretend that I'm a good citizen.
