Diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis in June of 2008. Started taking Enbrel in March, 2009.

Bolder Boulder. Not a great race, rather disappointed in the time and place...although certainly won't let it ruin my day. Never felt good at any point, every mile split was slower than last year. Only difference is that last year I tapered, whereas this year I had a 106-mile week under my belt going into. So it goes with marathon training. Not sure how to approach Duluth now, as no race I've done this year point to 2:18, or even 2:20. But workouts lately have been great.

Warme up 2 miles, ran the race, warmed down 2 miles, and then did 6-mile shakeout when I got home.

Mile splits were 5:03, 5:05, 5:16, 5:16, 5:08, 5:19. Moved up through most of the race; 2 guys passed me, but I passed one back. Just slow every mile was the problem.

Some would argue that if you can run a fantastic 10K four weeks before a marathon you're in trouble!

Considering what you did in the week leading up to this, not a bad result. Think of it as a solid 30 minute LT session. Your longer distance workouts have been really good recently, and that's the most important thing for the marathon.
