Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

AM - ran the dog for a mile. Later in the morning, ran the Landfill Loop via Planet Walk. 7.5 miles at 7:00/mile pace. Awesomely gorgeous day today.

PM - Planet Walk with Seth. The fresh air was making me dizzy.

Paul, I talked to my sister and it was humira, not enbrel that "cured" her PA. She is convinced it cured it, as it has never come back, and she was on another drug before, maybe enbrel, with not as good results. I can give you her email address if you want details, I don't know if you have looked at humira for AS or not? Scott

The FDA discourages people from running outside on days like today. If you have to run outside, wear a mask that is piped to a car exhaust, or take short, shallow breaths. Whatever you do, do not breath the clean, warm, nice air deeply into your lungs.

Yeah, so...much...oxygen...

Rooster - humira, enbrel, and remicade all pretty much have the same effectiveness for treating AS. None of them has been shown to put it in permanent remission, and they all have about an equal chance of helping. Sometimes, one won't work, but switching to another will work. There is no way to predict. I chose Enbrel to start with because it has the best financial aid.

Jon, don't worry, this won't last long, the annual rite of "burn my yard waste because I am too lazy to take it to the green waste bin" has already started, with the celebration peaking on saturday mornings for the next 6 weeks. so get out there on Saturday and enjoy the smell and sight of burning mulch and tree branches!! And once that ends, you can look forward to forest fire season to satisfy your craving for pm 2.5!
