Running Accomplishments:

I was an 800/1500 runner in high school and college, with PRs of 1:55 and 4:08. I've run as fast as 16:15 for 5k and 1:20 for a half, but my bests in recent years are 17:07 5k (Dec. '11), 37:40 10k (Jan. '12), 1:23:49 half (Sept. '08), 2:53:12 marathon (September '10), and 4:45:06 50k (March '10).

Short-Term Running Goals:

Late 2015/2016 races: 

— Seattle Soltice 10k (Dec. 19)

— Nookachamps half marathon (Jan. 16)

— Toyko Marathon (Feb. 28)

Wonderful fall day for running, I waited until the afternoon so I could enjoy a warm run (topped 70). Illahee Forest Preserve, everything felt great. Probably a little farther than 4, I was running a pretty brisk pace in there after I got going. 32:30

Easy run on Shore Dr-11th, but didn't go well because of GI issues. Hurried home early.

Stress hit me like a ton of bricks this week, and affected my runs. Way too many hours in the office Wed/Thu after the news that our company was abruptly sold, then Friday just drained me and I didn't have the energy to do anything. Really wasn't feeling healthy, mentally or physically. 

Saturday we got hit with a monsoon here, but there was enough of a window in the late morning to get a nice 5-mile run in. It was very humid, actually, I dressed warmer than neccesssary. Everything felt good, especially good to be cleansing the week out of my system. 37:42
