Easy run on Manette switchbacks, same as Monday. A little sluggish to start but no problems, I can feel that I'm working to get back in shape. Not that I'm way out of shape, but I can't really turnover like I should be able to. Today I stopped at the beach and watched sea lions feeding on chum salmon for awhile. The were just a hundred feet or so off shore, pretty close. Loud suckers when they bark though.

Reading James' post on the First Dam Run reminded me that I've been healthy for an entire year. I came back from IT band syndrome last year at the First Dam 5k (and didn't think it was that poorly run, sounds like they got someone new in charge this year). I haven't gone without an injury for a whole season in a few years, so I'm thankful for that.

That was the worst race that I have ever run. The whole reason I did it was because I had heard good things about it for years. Not having injuries is sure a plus(+)to running and enjoying it. I have had my aches and pains, and this achilles thing seems to be haunting me a little, but it has been a good year for me as well. I still can't believe how Paul kicked those injuries down to nothing and has become such an elite runner, it is awesome. I remeber when we were wondering if he would ever run again.

That is pretty cool that you can stop and see sights like thaton your run. I would love to get up to Washington and see that area, I have never seen it beore.

James --

Are you thinking about Northwest Passage next summer? You guys can come down here for a day after the race (I live not too far from the finish) and I can show you a run with some sights. Take care of that achilles.
