Personal:

Started running in November 2007 to get fit. Now I'm back almost to square one after back surgery. I did it once and I'll do it again.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners. They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares. And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better."  Running for His Life by Michael Hall.

10PM:  Easy run on the longest day of the year.  Legs felt very strong, my form was tight and I never felt winded. 8:28/mi overall seemed like a jog.

10PM: Still tied to the house nearly every free moment.  Only my second run all week.  I had Chinese for dinner so I was a little bloated and I tore the skin off my left foot after I accidentally brushed across my foot with a pressure washer.  Probably not a good idea to wear flip flops when handling something that can peel your skin like an onion.  Other than that I was feeling great. 8:34/mi avg pace.

1030PM: Another late night run with what looked like a full moon.  Started slow w/ a pounding headache from being in the sun all day working outside.  8M @ 8:30 overall pace, last 3M @ 8:06/mi pace and 1M+ cooldown.
