Originally from the small town of Galway, NY (near Saratoga), I currently live in Buffalo, NY.  I'm a community pharmacist  I  graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy with my pharmD in 2007 and my PhD in 2011. I'm married and have 2 dogs (Sadie, a lab, and Ralphie, a Eskie mix).  We enjoy anything outdoors from Backpacking and hiking to snowboarding.

Long run in the rain.  Drove to a local park to get some running done on the hill.  Since it rained all week I wasn't about to try a trail run giving the condition I knew they would be in.  Sadly, it rained on my most of my run but it was warm so I managed not to get too cold.  Did 20 miles @ 8:22pace with 1400feet elevation gain.  The first 17 mile were very good but the last 3 were a lil-rough.  You can see it in my pace, it starts to go all over the place instead of real steady like earlier in the run, but overall it was good.  

These 20 milers are real confidence boosters.  If I can suffer through 20 miles in the middle of my training, adding 6 more after a taper should be super doable!

It's like 70 out (too hot too early) and sunny.  Ran 5 easy miles with ralphie @ 8:20.  It was way too hot for him and we had to cut it short so he wouldn't overheat.  My legs felt like lead and I need a vacation.  

30 days until the Sehgahunda trail marathon.  I have 2-3 big weeks left before my taper.  I hope I survive the race, we'll see if the training was enough.

Ran 6 before bed with Ralphie.  It was super windy all day with 30mph sustained winds and 60+ gusts so I needed to wait till it calmed down at like 10 run .  Pace was 7:34

6 miles on the treadmill before bed @ 8:30.  I have no idea why but the treadmill totally makes my shins hurt.  Legs felt ok
