Went for a 6.5 miler today. Average pace was 8:30. I felt good but it still took a little more effort than it usually does to sustain that pace. I wasn't out of breath by any means but it definitely didn't feel like the "easy" pace it usually is. The thought of jumping back into marathon training, figuring out long runs, speedwork, paces, etc for the fall makes me a little sick. I'm sort of ambivalent about it. I don't know if I'm going to do a fall marathon, maybe just stick to the smaller races. Then again, maybe its too soon to decide. I feel like the Utah Valley Marathon really took a lot out of me.... Or maybe I'm just a wuss. Probably a little bit of both. |
