Personal:

Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

2 miles before a weight lifting class and 1 mile after. My hammies are a little sore from yesterdays speedwork, nothing painful, just letting me know they are there. :) I have either a neuroma? or metatarsalgia? some funky business going on on the ball of my left foot. Its annoying, I need to get that figured out.

Happy Halloween!

If it is only one foot I definitely don't think it is probably a neuroma as RAD suggested. Metetarsalgia is usually present in both feet.

Nice workout and Happy Halloween!

That makes sense, thanks Rachelle! (and RAD, if she reads this....)

I have Morton's neuroma in both my feet. Custom orthotics have helped a ton! I'm lucky that my insurance covers them. They are around $300 if not, but still worth it in my opinion cause I've had mine for 3 years with plenty of life left in them and I've run and trained for seven marathons with them. Good luck figuring it out!!

Thanks Carina, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it is. I found out that my insurance DOES cover them, now I just need to find a doc. Did you get a specific brand of orthotics? Did your doctor recommend a certain kind and were they specifically shaped for your feet?

I saw a podiatrist, dr Stanley Phillips. He fitted me for custom orthodics, specific for my feet, love them!! He has offices in sandy, AF, and Lehi.

Carina-Thank you! I'll have to check to see if he accepts my insurance. Hope you're having fun on your trip!
