Everything was especially beautiful and yummy this morning. Even the sweet inhale of marijuana near mile one. Who smokes marijuana at 6:00 A.M.?! Boulderites do.

I also especially loved the orange and red ribboned sunrise and I saw high five guy again! No words, but a solid high five of course.

Long run day. Aaron had an early meeting, so I got the kids off to school and then took Kelsie to the gym with me. Dropped her off in child care and I had 2 hours to get as many miles in as I could. Ran out around Boulder Res and back. The pace was a bit of a moderate effort to hold, especially the last few miles, which reminds me that I need to do more long runs. 7:29 AP

My legs were super tired this morning, so I didn't run early. I was going to try and run from the gym but I also had a free personal training session at 10 am and had to go to the orthodontist beforehand.  I didn't end up getting to the gym until 9:50 a.m. and then Kelsie threw a fit for the first 20 minutes, pushing the training session overtime since we started late. Anyway, it was a good workout, with TRX and kettlebell work, I just didn't have time to run and shower before I had to get Kelsie out of child care.  So no miles today.

Workout at Boulder Res

Warm up, strides

17 minutes at marathon pace, 2 min jog, 3X8 minutes at half marathon pace with 2 min jog between each.

My legs were flat. I started off pretty stiff and labored at 6:30ish pace on the first interval, and ended up sub 6:00 pace by the last.
