Just woke up from my second nap of the day.  Ahhhhhhh.

My body is SO worked.  I  don't recall ever feeling this worked over from physical activity.  Post childbirth is the closest thing to it, but its not aches and pains in the same way.  The physical exhaustion is similar though.  Yesterday I almost passed out at Church.  I really struggled to keep my eyes open during the classes and then with only 10 minutes left I had to go find an empty classroom and lay down.  I probably should have gone to an earlier Church and planned on sleeping all afternoon instead.  Or I could have at least brought water and food to get me through the 3 hour block.  I did take a short nap when we got home from Church at 4:00 but then we had to eat dinner and get to the airport.  I was glad we flew instead of driving this trip because it was a quick trip home to my own soft bed.  I slept SO deep last night.  Thank goodness my kids are exhausted from the weekend also.  We've all been taking it pretty easy today and I've slept both times that my 1 year old has taken her naps.

I lost my struggle during the Sacrament meeting for about 5 minutes. Sarah had to wake me up so she could play the intermediate hymn.

Somehow my wife ended up with a Sat and Sunday nap, and I never got one. Oh well.

Gotta love the soreness after a marathon. Higher training mileage seems to reduce it for me, but I don't know if that works for everyone. I know Paul took a lot longer to recover from TOU 1/2 when he was doing low miles.

You get what you deserve for running so dang fast!!! Seriously though, you really do deserve the rest. I hope you enjoy.

As for me, I was anxious to run this morning (you know I've got a short red skirt I've got to fill this weekend and I don't want to be disappointed again!)...ash

LUCKY SKUNK! You aren't just a figment of my imagination!! I was starting to wonder if that yummy smell around mile 20 was just my altered mental state, or if you were really there spraying your fragrant juice to keep me moving to the finish line.

SO glad you joined the blog. And SO glad you are enjoying the running skirt. Someone may as well enjoy it. Allie has another one she'd probably be happy to gift to you also. (So I've heard).

Watch out, this blog will make you run faster! Are you ready?
