8 miles around our rental house in Las Vegas, NV.

Ahh it is beautiful weather here in Las Vegas.  Mid 80's and clear skies.  I was actually really hot on my run in the desert sun this morning.  I slept in until around 8:00 a.m. and left for my run around 8:30 a.m. but it was already very warm at that time, so I ended up just running in my sports bra and shorts.  As I was coming back I saw a biker out with arm warmers on.  'Cause to the locals it must be cold?  Before coming here I think I was almost acclimated to the 30 degree mornings in CO.  I hope a few warm mornings here doesn't spoil me and I have to re-acclimate.

Girls weekend has been fun.  Last night we stayed up late watching a movie and eating chocolate and popcorn.  Then we all slept in and I woke up and went for a run.  After my run I soaked in the 72 degree pool and ended up swimming a few laps and taking a few dives off the little diving board.  My sister-in-laws all thought I was crazy for getting in the "cold" water, but it was actually quite refreshing after my hour run in the heat.  Then we showered and went shopping.  I got some new winter running clothes and shoes at the Nike Outlet and a few shirts at Aeropostale.  After that we got pedi/manicures.  In all my 28 years I have actually never actually gotten a pedicure or a manicure, but I decided to try the pedicure on my callused runners feet.  It felt very nice and my feet currently look more pristine than they have ever looked.  Then we came home, took naps, and made beaded watch bands.  My sister-in-law, Dawn has a large plethora of beads and brings them to all girl-gatherings.  I decided to make a watch since everyone else seemed to be really into it, and I actually really like it!  Nothing like a girls weekend to help me become more in touch with my feminine, fashion side.

Gotta Go!  Off to Cheescake Factory for dinner!

Ash! We are TOTALLY missing you! You really need to get your bum down here! We have a fun-filled day planned tomorrow starting as soon as we pick you up from the airport. Fly safe!

I'm glad you're having a fun time with the girls.

We've actually had a warm morning here in CO today, but it seems to be cooling down this afternoon.

I had a pedicure once about 9 months ago and they took of my runners calluses. My feet actually felt better after I got the calluses back, though they don't look better.

Be careful running in your sports bra and shorts in Vegas because the last time Metcalf Running was there, she got slapped on the butt.

LOL allie. I was thinking that whoever gives the pedicures is probably grossed out over the runners' feet.

LOL. Its not like I was running down the Strip or anything. Just out in the boonies. Our rental house was in Henderson, actually.

Yeah, runners feet can get very gross. I keep mine pretty trimmed up, but they still stink pretty badly.
