Ran with Carolyn in Colorado today.  She was kind enough to make the 50 minute drive from Littleton to join me on a nice long run on Big Dry Creek.  It was about 32 degrees and lightly snowing.  I enjoyed getting to know Carolyn better and having someone to pass the time with.  The pace felt great as a nice recovery pace for me after my fast workout yesterday and Carolyn pushed it for a nice long tempo run at her half marathon race pace.  She ran impressively well especially considering that she did a fast workout yesterday too.

My watch said 8:35 average pace for 11.5 miles.  A solid 1:39 on my legs.  Thanks for the run, Carolyn!  We'll have to do it again!

Thank YOU, Nan, for letting me come run with you, for keeping me on pace, for the company while running, and the hospitality! We should do it again next time I've got some time off from work. Or if you've got a Saturday that you're not running with your Boulder group for some reason, you could come run the Highline Canal Trail with me.

Nan thats great, I run with a runner who is about the same standard as Carolyn, and its nice to help others really nice, and keeps me to an easier pace as I have a tendency to try run hard all the time. great running both of you :-)

Is Carolyn as cool as she appears to be on the blog?

From JD on Wed, Oct 21, 2009 at 19:11:06 from 70.96.78.157

Burt - I met Carolyn once, briefly, and I would estimate her to be at least seven times as cool as she appears to be on the blog.

I knew it!

Indeed, Carolyn is at least 7 times cooler in person, if not more. Haha. Silly Burt.

You guys are embarrassing me. I'm not cool. I'm just really cold. Nan is the cool one.
