My mileage was actually 13.1 at 8:17 (by myself and trying to control myself from going too fast--I had only one mile sub-8 after I had a shot of adrenalin that came from a car coming a little too close for comfort) and then 2 at a much slower pace with my 11 year old in preparation for the 5K the next day. Also, starting to work on a mid-foot strike stride. Pre run water Electrolyte drink
