I would like to be able to keep up with my daughter. The one who runs xc, not the one who's going to change the world through dance. Although I would like to be able to dance also, so I change that to me wanting to be able to keep up with both my daughters.
Personal:
I have two gorgeous daughters; two good-looking cats and two dogs with great personalities.
First helicopter ride! The helicopter parks too far away from the terminal. My ensuing struggle with my gear elicited pity from onlookers and a man helped me with my bags. You'd think all this working out would be good for something. I felt so lame.
One time at ASU I was going to the line for the financial aid check pick-up. I tried to go under the ropes to get to the end of the line so I wouldn't have to go all the way around. My back pack grabbed on to the rope and pulled it with me. There was about 1000 students watching me. It was awesome. It's good if you can laugh at yourself, though.
It was very enjoyable, Lucia. It was much gentler than I imagined. I flew from Basrah, a British camp, back to Tallil. And it was loud. I took pictures but they didn't come out very nice. The two gunners looked like they were in their 60's. When the oil light came on we had to land and they scrambled all over the helo to do maintenance. I want to be in that kind of shape when I'm that age.
Burt, I end up laughing at myself a lot, but I'd much rather laugh at others...

Mike, you ARE their age. The sun just ages them. It's true. Burt is only 19, but living in Arizona.. well, you can see the effects of the hot desert sun.
(Camille obviously just stays inside all the time).
Actually, Rachel spent her Burtday morning cleaning up messes: a dead bird (cat gift), pee (dog gift) and a clogged toilet (kid gift).
