I would like to be able to keep up with my daughter.  The one who runs xc, not the one who's going to change the world through dance.  Although I would like to be able to dance also, so I change that to me wanting to be able to keep up with both my daughters.

Thanks for the encouragement, Miss Marion! Four repeats of one mile (1600 meters)

I think wind can easily cost 5 secs/1600. That said I think it was a great effort - I have found going out too fast on the first one can also cost a lot on the last one. Next time try to reverse the order (e.g., go out slow and finish fast)! I am sure it was a great training stimulus regardless of your disappointment (which I don't agree with, for the record).

Why did you use a wet gator? Is it really dusty when the wind blows? You know that is worth a few seconds too ... by the time you subtract all the adversities you are way ahead of the 6:52's!

It can be windy without dust. It can be dusty without wind. Once the dust in in the air, it can hang for quite a while. Supposedly the particles collide with one another and keep each other afloat. I wet the gator because the dust is so fine and I'm paranoid that it the fabric alone won't stop it. I considered running in my gas mask, but I figured that would be too dorky. As dorky as running with a fannypack and basketball shorts.

I'll try to keep a better pace on the first one next time. Thanks for the tips.

Uh-oh, I hope you did not offend anyone there!!!

Great work out. Those are super fast no matter what you say.

Dude! You're gonna kill the 3 mile run. I don't think I have a 6:22 mile in me if the wind was behind me. Nice work bro!

You are FAST! Maybe *Faster* than the wind?
