Installed a backsplash and a hood which turned out to be an awesome shoulder workout and a cussfest.  Pardon my French.

ha ha ha ha cussfest, I love it. I will have to show this to Dean when he gets home.

I can't believe they are making you work instead of just letting you lay around eating ice cream and deep fried jalepeno's wrapped in bacon (or whatever it is you were eating a couple of weeks ago ;-)). Actually, on second thought I bet you are really enjoying the honey-do list, show them ladies how useful you are - you are not just eye-candy you know ;-).

Very nice man. Glad to see you made it back home safe and sound. I can only imagine the honey do list you has for you.:)

It was a very under-the-breath cussfest, so it's all good.

Don't worry Bonnie, he's been doing plenty of laying around. But I couldn't get that hood up by myself and I think Mike felt bad that my stepdad was going to have to come over to do it.

Teena, I'm working on it! Being by myself with the kids and the house and grad school for a whole year doesn't leave me a lot of time to put together internet photo albums, as much as I'm dying to! Hopefully with Mike home, I can get that done finally. And a lot of other things, too!

Most things can't wait a whole year, so he doesn't have much of a list. And he'll be back to Iraq next month, so the list is mostly being a gym buddy, a movie date, and to eat as much as I can cook for the next few weeks!

Men and projects. I can picture it!! Anything I ask Scott to do requires the rest of the family to be in earplugs for the day!

Glad you are gettin' some work done, though!

Bonnie, I'm good at being eye-candy. I even plucked my eyebrows before coming home. Or I plucked the one hair that grows really long and drives Rachel crazy.

Teena, Kitchen pics are forthcoming. I need to finish up the floors. I bought a nailgun! And nails! I can't wait to shoot stuff with nails!

Thanks Mark.

Hon, I can eat as much as you can cook, but I need some work on the movie date thing. Practice makes perfect.

Sam, When I'm at home this kind of stuff usually takes months anyway :)

Earplugs are a good idea, Kelli! I'll have to pick up some at Costco.

No, the floor has been done for a while and looks great! It's that weird under the cabinet area, where it's baseboard-ish. I want to paint it, and Mike is going to install bamboo trim (because the floor is bamboo).

I've only heard one curse word out of this project!

From sam Dean-Howard on Sat, Jun 20, 2009 at 13:27:03 from 90.195.99.119

wow only one curse thats great, my hubby would be curseing a bit more than once, only if it wasnt going right though.... nice we have bamboo flooring in our hall, we put this floor down together solid flooring and was kinda tough to do but we never argued or cursed once I couldnt believe it at the time...LOL
