Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 12, 10, and 8.

After a great 2008 season, I was injured and eventually diagnosed and cross-diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a type of arthritis disease, which precludes running for all but the most stubborn.  So I am on medications, trying to stay healthy, and seeing my PT often.  And running!  Now beating the streets in Hong Kong.

On treadmill, 42 minutes.

Just to keep Luz watching, here's the lyrics from my favorite new downloaded song.  Kudos to my hubby Paul for finding this song.  I haven't found another Mew song I like nearly as much.  But I am listening to several right now.  Sifting through for another diamond.  Look up the song, it has an awesome tune:

Mew

Snow Brigade

Enable to bring out the something
you want to know beneath the snow
in winter you're an affliction
that repeatedly defeated me, because

I'll find you somewhere
show you how much I care
know that there is no escape
from my snowbrigade

Bring out the someone
you want to see for jealousy
we all know one day you'll leave behind
your everything
and feel the spring come

I'll find you somewhere
show you how much I care
know that there is no escape
from my snowbrigade

My arms retreat
I wish they were there to hold you

I'll find you somewhere
show you how much I care
know that there is no escape

from my snowbrigade

I like it. Are you hung over from yesterday's eats??

Nope. I am stronger than ever. I had zero caffeine today. We forgot to take any sugar cookies. So we have toxic red buttercream frosting, and no cookies, not that it matters to me.

I was wondering about the cookies. SHOOT! Frosting freezes well :) The boys can make their own frosted flakes :) The kids ate ALL of the cookies and frosting after lunch today. I blew 10 points of 2 cookies. Good thing we had the makings for a veggie stir fry for dinner :)

All this time I thought Mew was a cute lil Pokemon! :)

Finally took a minute to find MEW on iTunes. She has a kind of Bjork sound, but less ambiguous lyrics. I think you definitely picked the best one for the moment. I'd never heard this before. It was the pefect pick back on February 15th. I'll see if I can find a post- April 15th, springier lyrical celebration(hope that cold's better by now). As I write this on April 7th, it's giving me the sensation that I have traveled back in time...Almost time for more cake (which by the way, I am more than happy to bring May 1st).
