keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

The DREEEAAADmill is a four letter word!!!!! Also a mental tourture chamber! With that said I thought I'd feel better but..... I went a whole 2 miles on the treadmill and feel like I ran a marathon. I'm blaming it on the nightshift again, it is a catch all for all badness in my life! But now I'll be more motivated to run when I get home in the morning regaurdless how tired I am it will have to be easier than that was! Way to get going on the high weekly mileage!

I worked many years on the overnight work schedule and I found that running a quality workout after work was really tough phyically and mentally. My best runs were always before work accompanied by an energy drink a lot of the time! This would be followed by a power nap of 20-30 minutes. It did wonders the rest of the night. Keep at it, experiment with different approaches. You can do it.

Too bad you don't live down here in Provo...I think we could be great running partners now and then. Thanks for the reminder that running keeps you in a good mood most of the time. It's so true. Usually it gives me a feeling of zest and love for accomplishing...and I think that rubs off on my children.

Dreadmill, you said it. I don't mind the treadmill as much as I mind being stuck inside! But since I slept in late today and its already HOTTER than HADES outside, that's where I'm headed too- the "dreadmill". Thanks for the inspiration, I was just gonna be lazy & not run today, but you've moved me to a higher dreadmill plane- I realized that's what I need to do today! You go girl!
