So last night as I was climbing into bed I heard a big bang and a rushing of water sound!! (UHGGG!!) My husband and I ran downstairs to find water spraying into the air in the furnace room. Something in the water softener broke off and the only way to stop it was to shut off the house water completely off! We went to bed and then in the morning turned it on and hurried and filled the tubs so we could bath. I had to bath last (just like the pioneers) and so I had to heat my water on the stove. So in between the craziness of the no water morning I managed to get it 2 miles. I had to head off to work meetings, arrange to get the plumber here and a ton of other crazy stuff through out the day. My meeting was a recert for a really hard trauma course that I failed to review ( It's December, terrible time of year for this kind of stuff!!) and left the class twiced to deal with kid stuff that couldn't be undone. I managed to sweak through the class and the water softener got fixed so I'm hoping the day gets a little slower and I can get another 3 miles for my regular 5 for the day! Mostly I'm just glad that this happend while we were at home! We have been out of town a ton latley and that would have been a disaster!! I am also really greatfull for indoor plumbing. When you have to go without it even for just a short period of time you are so glad and often take for it for grantide that when you tun on the handle water comes out!!

Managed to Squeeze in 2 more miles. I was looking forward to a nice quiet night at home and a date with the treadmill. I forgot that my daughter had gymnastics and then a basketball game so after 2 miles it's time for me to call it a day!

Omigosh...what a day! It shows exceptional dedication that you got out at all! Good luck with getting to your 5, passing your course, getting your plumbing fixed, taking care of the kids etc. etc. etc. Bravo!

Whew! What a day for you! Is everything back to ship shape? I always lay in bed right before falling asleep and catalog all the "nightime noises" just to make sure things are in order. A little OCD, but now I feel a little justified!

What a crazy past 24 hours! And your love and appreciation for life continues to shine through. I think it's awesome that you were able to get in four miles today. Awesome!

Can you say MULTITASK?!! Wow- what a day! And you even squeezed in some miles too! Glad your water is fixed. My water was turned off last Sat. for a couple hrs.(while we fixed a broken pipe) and I forget how often I reach for the sink without thinking about it!
