Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

So I made my goal of thirty miles this week! (Yea!!) I could have easily stayed in bed this morning, but I stayed in longer than usually so that was a bonus! I really thought that I would bag the goal, and just do a 3-4 mile run, but it was very nice out and although more than half the run I felt pretty sluggish I kept going. I was able to keep shedding layers as it was sunny and warm and each time I lost a layer it felt like 5 pounds coming off and added a little extra spring to my step. I'm sure that's why I was able to keep going! I ended up in just my t-shirt and pants and passed a guy in shorts! I'm sure these days are few and far between in Dec. here so have to enjoy them when we can get them!!! Glad I got in a decent run and now I can rest easy for the day.....( well that's a relative term!)

Great job on winter mileage...I'm super excited for Christmas too. Santa Claus (ie a nice old guy in our ward) is making my girls a beautiful doll house for their santa present.

Great job, Michelle! You are looking great for Moab.

P.S. I thought you meant that you had to enjoy seeing guys in shorts...you had me laughing for a second there.

17 days 'til Christmas (even less now..) really do you have to remind us of all we have to do?! Just kidding! I'm getting excited for Christmas! My sis & her family come to my house in about a week, then we all get to go to my parents in SLC over Christmas. And I think I'm 95% done w/ shopping!! EXCELLENT job getting in the miles! You rock! (jealous here!)
