Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

So I just took my girls to school and shoveled the driveway the best I could, there is a layer of ice under it as is rained before it snowed. After finishing that my fingers are FROZEN....can barely type and that really hampers the effort as I don't do it that efficiently to begin with!!! So I think that I'm doomed to the DREADMILL today and so I'm committing before hand so I'll actually do it! Right now I'll be very pleased with 3 miles. I know that it's not much but crazy day and I just stink with that machine all together!!! I think I'll watch the Grinch and we can LOATH together!

I did 2 miles and wrapped and then 1.5 and wrapped!! Two things that had to be done this A.M. Think that the other stuff can be done later so I'm gaining on the holidays and about to realx and enjoy.....almost!!! My mileage for this week stinks, hopefully I can do a long run tomorrow, but I'm just taking it one day at a time so far, trying to get the most fun out of Christmas from here on out now that the kids are out of school, after all that's what this is about, family time together!

Oh My! Shoveling snow definately counts as cross training! I'm taking off to my parents for the next few days and don't know when I'll blog again. Want to wish you a VERY Merry Christmas! Love-C

You have a Merry Christmas with the family! Eat like there is no tomorrow! It only comes once a year!

Michelle, if you are running the Painter's, just try and get a 10 miler during the next few days. Pretty common this time of year, making the first step out the door running.

Merry X-mas

Merry Christmas, Michelle! Happy wrapping, and have a great time with the fam!

You really need to get a portable DVD player hooked up so you can watch movies while you run. It really does help pass the time. And it was "Star Dust," BTW.

There is a funny post on the discussion board about treadmills you might enjoy.

Oh, just saw your post!!! Sorry!!

Oh and I have one it's just so small, that I struggle watching it. If it's close enough to hear, then my eyes go funny and if it's a little back it's hard to hear....(wine, wine, wine) I just need to be outside as much as possible!!!

I like the wrapping in between runs!!! What a great idea. Our school got out earlier than yours - my oldest daughter has had a difficult, moody week without her normal routine. ;oS Hope your first week with the kids home is more fun than ours!!! hee,hee

Have a GREAT Christmas, Michelle!!!!!!

Good job getting something in...I haven't done that for a couple days! Hopefully I can get in a decent run in the morning. I wish you guys were coming down for the holidays so we could go for a run!
