Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Slept in today and that sure felt good! When I woke up it was dark out and raining, so I didn't get out till around 10:00. It was still overcast and wet but the lightning had stopped. For a five mile run it was pretty hard, had some long tough climbs, ( For me ) but I just took it easy and went with it. I have loved the last couple of days running with these overcast skies. Even though the humidity is high, especially today, it just seemed so relaxed and peaceful out, occasional sprinkle now and then felt good too. Well looks like I made it home just in time, there goes more thunder!!! Now I hope it thunders, lightnings and pours all day long!!! Have a great weekend!!

Michelle-I came and read your blog after you left a nice comment on mine. I want to steal your short and long term goals as they are just what I have been thinking about for myself. It was very helpful to read them, so thanks for sharing them. I am thinking about walking some shorter local races and then down the road training for and doing a walker friendly half. Best of luck to both of us!!!

Thanks for your support Michelle! You're right about needing a partner to train for marathon- I'm no good without a partner, and the more people you can run with the more energy they bring. I never wanted to run a marathon until this year, but its been fun training so far...
