Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.
Short-Term Running Goals:
keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.
Ran home from work again today, but slipped by the track to add on a little more. Felt pretty good but got tired towards the end. Off to get a good nap now!
Hey- jealous of your nap today! I often tell myself I'm gonna get one, then don't do it- I should! Yeah, Peach Days is in Hurricane. I've never done it, but friends have and love it. You get your award by forecasting your finish time down to the second and the 20 people who finish closest to their forecasted time- get prizes. No watches allowed. Anyway- if you feel like making a trip to Hurricane over Labor Day- come do it with us!
You've earned your nap--enjoy it! I have to tell you, I thought it was super sweet how much you are going to miss summer and being with your kids. (I felt a teensy bit guilty, though, bc I was practically doing cartwheels on the first day of school.) Hope to get there someday.
