Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Nice run this morning with my husband. It was so fun to have him along, even though I slow him down, he was a good sport and stuck with me. The fun thing was that he normally only does around 3.5 to 4 miles and so today was his first 7 miler ever!! I think that my slower pace helped it go pretty easy for him though. He says that when he runs on the treadmill that his shoes hurt his toes and I hate the shoes he runs in... not really very good running shoes. I keep telling him that he needs to go buy some new ones, but he told me this morning that when he can run ten miles he will. I'm hoping in the next week or so he'll go shoe shopping!! I'm going to try and get him to do a long run next Sat. with me. He will be out of town this Sat. or I would have him pace me a long this Sat. We both enjoyed our new running clothes today and it was COLD out so I'm so glad that we have them!!! Hope to make up the miles I missed yesterday through out the week and keep the numbers up!!! Hope everyone had the BEST Christmas and enjoys the time with family the rest of the week!!

We averaged 9:30 per mile so that was good for me on the route we took today!

Michelle, happy trails, hey, no reason to wait on running shoes for hubby, check out Road Runners Sports On-line, good sales going on right now.

By the way, do you feel your consistency is paying off?

Yeah for your hubby! I love it when Cody and I can get out together. Tell him that I got new shoes the minute I decided to start running, I couldnt even run 2 miles!!! Saves on leg injuries and pain.

You are doing amazing, hope you can see the improvement that we all see. Nice job!
