Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Managed to get out of bed this morning without any use of force by my husband. We did 3.8 together and then I finished off by myself. Running with him always feels like it pushes me quite a bit but when I finished my pace was the same as yesterday? I must slow down quite a bit when he goes home and I'm on my own. It's o.k. right now I'm just glad that I'm home and am done for the day. The sun is just coming up and it looks sooo cold out. Every thing is frosty and white. While we were running for the most part I was too warm but I'm starting to cool down very quickly, time for a nice cup of hot chocolate I think!!

Great job getting out today and finishing on your own. Have a great day.

OOOh- that sounds good! Hot chocolate! Yeah, I freeze when I get home from my runs lately. I usually come home and get kids right off to school, so don't get my shower for an hour or so- meanwhile I freeze. I think I'll make some hot chocolate w/ soy milk this morning... Great job on the run today. Still jealous you can get your hubby out there!!

Yum. Enjoy the chocolate and the pristine white snow for me, ok? Good job today.

I definitely slow down after my hubby leaves, but that's because my hubby is an elite runner and I'm a penguin.

It seems like Ted is stepping up the training? Good job getting in the miles as always. You are becoming quite consistent. We have been in a total hot chocolate phase lately...we've got at least 5 different kinds to choose from so it's fun! Stephens is sooo good...the mint is really good, but so is their Wassail!
