keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

I've been needing a long run for a while, more mentaly than physically. Running short on time today (no pun inteded)....but I got it done and I'm glad. My legs were a little on the cold side the whole time, perhaps even numb so I can't tell if I had much hip pain. Maybe a jab here and there but so far so good! I plan to strech and ice and cross my fingers that it handled it o.k. so I can continue to keep building that base! Husband bagged on me to make me sleep in ( he does have to shop with me this weekend and a rested wife is a happy wife. He hates shopping but with a cranky wife it's too much for him, not that I could blame him!) Also he thought that it was going to be colder than it was. He jumped on the treadmill and it really worked out because I never would have gone long if I would have ran with him. Legs felt a little sluggish and slow but average time was 9:48 so I can't complain for an inpromptue ?sp longer run!!! Hope to get a few miles in Sat. but looks liike the big goose egg for tomorrow!!!

Bravo!!! You never cease to amaze me. Awesome pace too. Probably good to give that hip a day off tomorrow then go for it again on Sat. Have fun Christmas shopping!!

Wow, amazing pace speedy. Especially all on self will power alone. Nicely done. Im also amazed that your hubby is actually shopping with you! How did you arrange that? A little blackmail maybe?

I would definitely take it easy on the hip if you're doing a lot of shopping soon! I find that the sauntering pace of shopping is very hard on my hips. Maybe I'm built weird, but it tires my hips out more than running! Sounds like a fun day of shopping, though! Good luck conquering it all!!!! And good luck with whatever doctor's appt is taking you to a "big city." ;o)

That's an excellent pace for 8 miles, by the way.

Thank you so much for always checking my blog and leaving kind comments - it's very motivating to know someone's following up on me! I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been able to read or post on anyone's blog (besides Lybi's), but I really appreciate your constant encouragement!!!!

hope the shopping is successful! Great job getting out by yourself and getting the run done!
