Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

I didn't get out this morning inspite of a planned longer run today... and then when I went to go tonight McCall decided she wanted to go, which cut me short also. So she and I went and did a mile at the softball fields with a few stops and then I was going to do a few more miles on my own, like at least 3. When I headed out it was completely dark, and I cut it to 2 miles. I don't know why I feel more comfortable in the morning in the dark, but tonight it seemed a little more dark or something. So a total of 3 for the day, hopefully make up for it tomorrow!

I think younger legs may recover faster but for me I'd like to think it's because my responsibilities have increased and I just don't have as much time to rest as I did when I was younger. Anyway...I love being in my 30's (I'm 31) simply because I feel I have conquered some of my childish ways and at the same time am learning to ask for help from God and others when I really need it.

Don't blame you- I get creeped out at night in the dark too. I'm gone to Lake Powell for the next week- so happy running!
