Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

I did .85 with McCall and then the rest by myself. She seemed to struggle a little tonight, but I think she was a little distracted. I didn't have a lot of time either, so kinda another wimpy day. Tomorrow is likely my only real good day for much of a run so I hope to capitalize on that and make it count. I did survive the field trip to Provo today, It was touch and go a few times, but it all ended well. What can you expect from a bus full of 5th graders and a total ride of 4.5 hours. (I'd like to think I could run a marathon in that amount of time it I had been training.) I also started out the day with a nice healthy breakfast thanks to Sasha's advice (Raw oats, fresh sliced peaches and milk) I'm sure that helped! Thanks Sasha, your advice is always valuble.

Well, I think you deserve some kind of trophy or something for being on a bus that long with a bunch of 5th graders. What a good Mommy!

Oh man. My 5th grader had a field trip a couple weeks ago and I showed up to help on the bus. No other moms showed. They hadn't really asked for volunteers, but the teacher said I could come. I looked around, realized there were no other moms- and Toby (my son) didn't even know I existed (having too much fun with his friends) So I was outta there! I told his teacher (a very capable guy) that I was leaving him to fend for himself and walked off the bus as quick as I could before they left so I wouldn't be trapped. The teacher just laughed and said he didn't blame me- he didn't seem worried about controlling the class on this close to home art museum field trip... So I must commend you for doing the field trip thing!!!!!!!!! 4.5 HOURS!!! Yikes, where did you go?
