Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Headed out as soon as the kids got off to school this morning. A little overcast and humid out but the temps. were good and it felt nice. I thought out a new route last night before bed because I wanted something different today, but wasn't sure on the distance so I just went with it and hoped I would get in a nice run for the start of the week. Knowing that I have to work tonight and tomorrow night and my runs are usually short for those days. The new route seemed to be a good one and I felt really good. It wasn't untill about a mile in I realized that I didn't have any hip pain!!!! (Yeaaa) Around mile 5 I did start to feel it creep back into my run and by mile 6 it was back again. Mile 7 feeling a little tired and ready to be done. But really felt good the whole time all things considered and glad to get the week off to a good start!

Good miles for Monday morning! Are you guys going to the reunion on Saturday? We just found out about it and we are trying to decide. We are sick of going somewhere every weekend! But we have this Japanese guy staying with us for 3 weeks and we want to take him around, so we will probably go. He is 21 and just here to golf every day and practice his English.

Hey thanks! We just found out about the reunion on Sat. last night. We can't decide either. I know we will be over there Ted starting Friday, but the rest of us? Who knows? I have this Jayde that works on Sat. but hate to leave her home alone for the weekend with the boyfriend? Hate to drive 3 cars to Lyman, it's crazy!!!! So we'll see but I magine we'll figure it out and show up! Hope you guys do too! But I understand how you feel about leaving every weekend, that was our whole summer and it's so nice to stay home and catch up and then veg a little too!

8 miles by yourself- you still amaze me!I definately think you could do a half. If you reg. for one that would probably be enough motivation to get you out the door for the long training runs. Is there anyone you can convert to be your running partner? As for cold goes, I lived in Heber for a couple winters and ran through the winter. I was a spectacle to behold! All bundled up (no good technical running clothes) just crazy headbands and hats, ski clothes type stuff- I looked AWESOME! But it was really fun to run through the winter and something to brag about- heh heh...
