Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Went on a nice run with Mik'L today (see her entry for details, mine will be the shrt version).

It was a little on the cool side, but we actually warmed up enough to shed a layer and then cool off and wish that we had it back.  I'm glad that I got it in because the rest of the week went down hill from there.  I can say this... running 6 miles with someone to talk with is so much nicer than going it alone, and goes by so much faster!! I love that!

Good job Michelle! 6 on a holiday counts double. :) How's your foot doing? Better, I assume, since you haven't mentioned it in a while.

Do you have any races scheduled for the next couple of weeks? Makes the training more fun, imo.

Lybi, I'm very impressed with the holiday running you got in! Not to mention the killer fast miles you are logging. I can say that I've hit a sub 8 min speed, but I really don't think that I could sustain it for a mile! You are just getting better and better!

As for the foot, the pain is still there, somedays it's better than others? I still wear the sock and try to ice it good. I know the sock has helped some, I hope it goes away soon, but for now it's bearable!

The next scheduled race is just Moab. I thought about a half in Jan. But I think I'm just going to work on being more consistant on the increased mileage and hope that things will heal up nice for then! It's really right around the corner when you think about it!
