Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

I got off work this morning and it felt so nice outside with the fresh smell of rain in the air even though I was tired I couldn't resist.  My legs were still a little sore from Martins Cove and since I was tired I didn't know what I had in me but off I went.  Started off and felt really good, about half way in my calves started to tighten up but other than that a great run considering being up almost 24hrs.  I probably could have gone longer but I went in a random route around the neighborhood and didn't really know my distance but when I went by my house I somehow slipped in to go to bed.  So glad I got done and didn't have to face my treadmill in the afternoon!  ( Thinking about doing a 5 mile run in Monroe in the morning, but it will be after another night shift so if I do it will be purely for the days run not to race, but we'll see, it's only 10:40 p.m. now and my bed is calling.  I'm gonna need to catch a second, third or fourth wind by then)
