What a wonderful run.  There was a wee-baby moon hanging over the western mountains, the skies were clear, and nobody tried to run me over.

What I really-really liked about this run was that none of my splits were over 9 minutes.  My slowest mile was 8:47!

Excellent work! Love the pacing. Have yet to do that out on the road lately.

Wow, very cool.

Hey, are you going to run the American Fork Half or the Timpanogos Half? I signed up for the Full marathon at the Timpanogos half. They are calling it the Sogonapmit Marathon. They have 100 slots open. You start at the finish line and run up to the start and try to get back to the finish before the half runners get there. I doubt I will be able to beat them, but I'm hoping I can get to them before they start.

Rachel--I was very surprised to see the pacing when I got done. The run felt long and slow even though I felt really good throughout. Go figure.

Hey Dale--I'm doing the AF Canyon Half. I saw that bit about you and the Sogonapmit Marathon. I've run down AF Canyon hundreds of times (OK, dozens) but never up it. (Although I have run up the north fork to Tibble Fork a few times...) I'll have to see how things pan out for me in July, but I definitely don't see myself doing the Sogonapmit.

It'll definitely be challenging running up the canyon. I've never been to that canyon before. Is it steep? I hope I won't regret signing up for it.

There's roughly about 1800 feet of elevation gain from AFHS (the start/finish) and Tibble Fork (the turn-around/start). 1500 of those feet are in the 7.5 miles that are inside the walls of the canyon itself. The really steep stuff is on the Alpine Loop side which you avoid altogether.

That's good to know. Perhaps I'll make it to the half marahoners before they start. I guess the marathon starts at 3:00 a.m. and the half starts at 5:30.

Nice run, when I saw your post of facebook I was not sure you would make it out but I am happy to see you did and that it was a great run.

Nice run, Bradley!

OK..seeing as I'm the only one who doesn't know how to upload my runs to Garmin Connect .. who would like to point me to the procedure (I want to be cool, too)?

AWESOME run, Bradley! NICE pace! Gotta love a run like that! :)

I saw that wee baby moon while driving to/from Logan. I thought about your daughter while I was there!

Never mind about the Garmin Connect stuff, I figured it out!! Woohoo!!

From Maynard on Fri, May 06, 2011 at 00:58:38 from 71.213.8.107

Oh man! For about 13 seconds, I thought my life had purpose again. Glad you figured it out though Marc. :)
