Harold Petersen dropped Leslie and I off at the top of Guardsman Pass and we ran into Midway.  Good downhill training for Leslie for St. George.  My quads will probably be yelling at me tomorrow.

Signed up this week to run the Suncrest Half Marathon.  It looked like it would be tough half and I was right about that.

I'll write more in my other blog, but suffice it to say that the course  had 3357 feet of elevation gain and 3389 feet of descent (could have fooled me on the last one).  A good mix of trails and roads.  Lots of great views of both the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys.

There may be a tougher half in Utah - but I'm not sure what it would be.

Wore my Hoka Mafates. They are very comfortable to run in - but I wish I wouldn't get blisters on my big toes every time I run in them. Got some large ones this time even with putting blister packs on the toes and duct tape on top of that.

Two more miles with the dog.  Going to count my walking miles until the end of the year because I need to start spending a lot of time on my feet in preparation for Across the Years 48 hour race.

Added two more miles tonight to get into a 40 mile week.
