12 miles in the morning with Leslie and Harold along the Wasatch Crest, then down to Desolation Lake and Mill D. The last half of the run was new territory for me. Lots of beautiful wildflowers and views. So good to be back on trails. I have really missed them. After a quick break to eat, check on the dog and swimming pool, I headed over to do the Little Cottonwood Canyon trail. It had closed signs pasted all over it, so naturally, I ignored them. Had to climb over some barriers built to keep less adventurous people off and around the one mile mark found huge portions of the trail totally gone. I've seen flooding damage on trail before where chunks are gone, but this was the entire trail, with 5-10 feet deep chasms. Had to do a bit of a balancing act over pipes and downed trees to get to the first bridge to get over the water.
