Short-Term Running Goals:

After 1/9/2010 - I am taking a year off from marathon length distances and focusing on building up my base speed on half marathons and shorter distances.

2010 Speed Goals:

  • Build up my base speed on training runs to 10 MM miles or better
  • Half Marathon - break 2:05 (9.5 MM avg)
  • 10K Goal 1 - break 1:00 (9.67 MM avg)
  • 10K Goal 2 - break 55 minutes (8.87 MM avg)
  • 5K Goal 1 - break 26.35 minutes
  • 5K Goal 2 - break 25 minutes

Long-Term Running Goals:

Long Term Goals:

  • Complete a 100 Mile race
  • Complete a 100 K race
  • Break 12 hours in a 50 mile race
  • Run all portions of the Wasatch 100 course
  • Break 5 hours in a marathon
  • Break 4.5 hours in a marathon
  • Qualify for and run Boston

Went running with Leslie, Harold and Odee on the Jordan River Parkway this morning.  I was a bit frustrated because I cannot get my Garmin to turn on at all.  We met off of Winchester Street and did 5 miles heading north and then back - taking any paths we could to get Leslie and Odee off of pavement.

After we doghandled Odee up into their car, I took off and went south for another 3 miles and then back.  I was getting pretty tired the last few miles.

Now I think I am going to take a nap.

I figured it would be. You are going to cause some problems if you start doing to much of this tippy toe thing.

Promise me you will go back on the anti-inflammatories and icing your foot and stretching for at least a week?

Kelli - you will enjoy the movie. It is not as good as the book, but I think they did a pretty good job with it. Rob did a good job of the emotions that Edward might feel. Lots of sighing and squealing in the movie whenever Jacob or Edward were onscreen.

Strangely enough - some of my favorite scenes were when they were lying together not talking in her bedroom or in the meadows.

Glad the garmin is working! Yes, I have iced and taken vit. I, and will continue to do it regularly, the pain is pretty bad.
